July 28, 2023

Anders Hansen

Porthcawl, Wales, United Kingdom

Royal Porthcawl Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. 69 today and 72 yesterday. What has been the strength of your game so far?

ANDERS HANSEN: Yesterday, I thought I hit the ball really, really nicely. Today, I was struggling a little bit but I got a bit lucky. I was just trying to hold it together to be honest. Yesterday I didn't really feel that great.

Q. You turned 50 in September 2020. How are you this competitive?

ANDERS HANSEN: It's actually a good question because when you're not playing very much, you just come out and you don't really know where your game is. Just go and play. First two I played in 2021 and 2022, it wasn't that impressive.

So this year, I actually tried to practice a little bit before I went to Austria, and actually tried to practice a little bit before going here. So wanting to try to see if I can compete a little bit.

Q. Tomorrow it's forecast to blow 25-mile-an-hour gusts. How difficult will this course play in those conditions?

ANDERS HANSEN: It's going to be very, very difficult, as difficult as it is. It was quite nice this afternoon. Just towards the end -- I think in the start it was quite windy and then it sort of died down and came back, and so it's just tough. If you don't hit the fairways and trying to judge the ball going in here, it's going to be very difficult.
