Q. Ryan, 2-under, 1-over for the tournament. Happy with the round?

RYAN FOX: Yeah, I actually played quite nicely today. Been struggling with the driver a little bit, and I felt like I had that a lot more under control today and gave myself a lot of chances. Kind of didn't really make much until 17, I made a nice little 12-footer there and nice to birdie the last, as well.

Yeah, it was a much more consistent day tee to green than it has been the last couple of days, which is nice.

Q. You started in the rain, but after that it almost disappeared.

RYAN FOX: Yeah, I think anyone that teed off this morning is going to be quite happy with the draw. I don't know if the rain is coming in. It still looks all right now. But from what the forecast looked like, it looked like it was going to be an absolute slog out there but it actually turned out to be pretty good. Not a lot of wind. The golf course was relatively soft.

Yeah, we obviously didn't get wet, which I think was a minor miracle, to be honest.

Q. Did you do the things that you were looking for after the first round?

RYAN FOX: I definitely progressed from yesterday. I hit some good shots when it mattered yesterday, but there was still some scrappy stuff, and I felt like today there was a lot more good out there tee to green. That's what I sort of felt like I was fighting, especially the first two days but especially the first round.

It was nice to actually hit a couple of quality shots out there today. I had to get rid of the right miss I kind of had the first couple of days, and felt like I could hit some committed shots out there.

Even though the score is not as good as yesterday, I feel like it was probably a much more solid round of golf.

Q. Later in the day we'll know where this leaves you going into the final day. What will your attitude be?

RYAN FOX: I've got nothing to lose, do I? I think if the rain comes in, it might shoot up quite quickly. If it doesn't, I think the golf course is pretty scorable and some of those leaders might push a little bit ahead. But we'll see.

Hopefully the forecast looks much the same tomorrow. Looks like we could get some rain, could be awful. So I'm in a good spot. If I can put a good round together tomorrow I can turn this into a pretty good week after what was a pretty shocking first round.
