THE 151ST OPEN

July 22, 2023

Jordan Smith

Hoylake, Merseyside, UK

Mixed Zone

Q. Jordan, how do you look back on that round?

JORDAN SMITH: A bit disappointed, to be honest. Didn't swing it nowhere near as well as I did the first two days.

Yeah, a bit disappointing, but we're still in there kind of nice sort of level par. But yeah, looking for a lot better tomorrow hopefully.

Q. How did the conditions affect you out there?

JORDAN SMITH: To be honest, we missed most of it. The wind was completely different until we got on to 13 and it switched back and went back to where it was the first two days.

Yeah, luckily we dodged most of the bad rain. We got lucky, though.

Q. Do you think there's quite a low score out there?

JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, yeah, it shows, yeah. Jon Rahm shot I think 63, wasn't it. The greens are pretty receptive, so I think there will be a few guys going low there this afternoon.

Q. Disappointing for you, but what do you do now?

JORDAN SMITH: We'll probably head to the range to be honest, try and figure a few things out. It's not far away. I played all right the first few days, so to the range, a bit of lunch, late lunch I should say, and then relax.

Q. Did you manage to pick the family out as you were walking around?

JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, although I didn't see them until later on, so, yeah, managed to spot them, yeah.
