Q. Just assess your round for us.

THOMAS PIETERS: I didn't think I had my best today. I had a really good back nine, but I was just off like a little bit. I'm right there, but it was nice to see some putts drop in at the end. Played the par-5s as I should on the back nine, and very happy with my score after today.

Q. With Talor playing so well, do you want to match the form that he's showing?

THOMAS PIETERS: Yeah, any week if you beat Talor then you beat the field. Yeah, it's cool to see him do so well. Even if he's shooting in the middle of the field or top 20, you're like, what the hell is going on with him this week.

Q. Obviously we had a bit of rain before we started. Did that affect how the course played?

THOMAS PIETERS: A little bit. The fairways maybe not so much, but the greens were quite soft. Obviously that's why you saw the scoring be that low.

Q. Did you feel the softer conditions worked to your advantage?

THOMAS PIETERS: Oh, I don't know.

Q. Personally looking at your form, you've probably not had the results you've wanted this year. Do you feel like your game is slowly getting there after today?

THOMAS PIETERS: Yeah, I felt like last week was a good week for me. Obviously not having the jet lag for once is quite nice. Yeah, I feel like my game is getting very close to where it should be. I feel like I can contend any week if it's on.

Q. Going back to Talor, him pushing for a Ryder Cup spot, yourself, you'd probably be right in the mix or in the thoughts of Luke Donald. If your game does start to improve, do you feel that you should be deserving of a place to get to Rome?

THOMAS PIETERS: I shouldn't say "should." It's not my choice. I don't want to get into all these politics. I just want to play well. If that makes it harder on them, then hopefully it does. But I'm just trying to win a golf tournament tomorrow.

Q. Looking ahead to tomorrow, what are your thoughts going into that? Are you confident?

THOMAS PIETERS: I'm going to have to play really well to beat Cam. Even though he didn't have his best, he still shot 3-, 4-under today.

Q. When you get closer to winning in that final round, is the preparation any different, or what is your thought process?

THOMAS PIETERS: No, not really. You play a bit more aggressive, I guess, but we've been there before. Like I've won golf tournaments before, so it's just the same thing tomorrow.
