THE MODERATOR: Welcome to Stan Wawrinka's press conference.

Questions, please.

Q. How do you feel about the match tonight?

STAN WAWRINKA: It was a tough match, as I expected. Right now he's the best player to play. It's tough for me to play him here in Wimbledon. At the end I'm quite happy with my performance. At least I gave a fight at the end. I was playing better. I was a bit more focus on myself.

Of course, as I expected, it was going to be tough to play against him. I'm not at his level right now. I'm not at his level of confidence, of play, of everything. I was trying to just play my best game tonight.

Q. You had a lot of support from the crowd. How did that feel?

STAN WAWRINKA: It was great I think in general. The atmosphere is amazing. For me, as I said, also was a chance again to play on Centre Court here. It's always going to be special, playing with the roof, playing night against Novak. It was something special, that's for sure.

At the end, as I said, I was playing better. I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the atmosphere, I enjoyed the game. I could have done a little bit better at the end of the match. I made two mistake in a row. Was not the best moment to do that.

Still it was positive tournament for me.
