Quick Quotes

Q. Do you mind just talking about what the experience was like out there today.

MICHELLE WIE WEST: Yeah, it was great. I mean, felt like I played great. Just made a lot of really stupid, rusty bogeys.

You know it's funny, spend like the last year picking up those small putts and not thinking about them. You're like, oh, wow, I have to make all these.

So definitely just didn't feel comfortable with the putting today. Just couldn't get the pace down early on. I felt like I played great. Got one really bad bounce, I mean, lie, I don't know what you call it, tree.

But other than that, I feel like I hit the ball pretty well. Just was pretty rusty. Overall, was pretty special to see just huge crowds out here all cheering for our group. It was really cool.

Q. How did the course play overall?

MICHELLE WIE WEST: It played shorter today for sure. It was firmer. Honestly, besides the first couple holes the wind wasn't really up. I felt like it was playing on the easier side, so makes it more frustrating when you felt like you could do a lot better. You know, it's just the way golf is.

Q. And last question: How was it having Johnny on the bag today?

MICHELLE WIE WEST: It was great. Had some really great reads out there. Made him rake a few bunkers out there. He did great.
