Quick Quotes

Q. An up and down day, but at one point you were 4-under through 12.

RETIEF GOOSEN: Yeah, I got it going there, and then made a lot of really bad swings coming in over the last few holes. Got some work to do this afternoon.

Q. Still not many under par at this point going into Saturday.

RETIEF GOOSEN: It played just the same as yesterday. Very tricky, tough. Miss the fairway, you're pray for a half decent lie. I had a couple today that I could only move 50 yards, so yeah, just kind of need to hit it a little better.

Q. I mean, under 50 percent fairways and you manage par. How did you manage that?

RETIEF GOOSEN: Yeah, I got it up and down quite a few times. Especially the last couple holes, you know. Missed the fairway and the greens with a wedge and a 9-iron. I've got to do something.

Q. Tell me about that eagle on 10.

RETIEF GOOSEN: I hit a good drive. I actually thought I was in the right rough, but it stayed up and I hit a cut. Just undercut it. Yeah, I had a chip there that wasn't (indiscernible). The best I could do was probably get it to six or eight feet. But actually got it out of the bunker and made the hole, hit it in.

Q. How do you feel going into Saturday?

RETIEF GOOSEN: Good. The weather seems to be the same. You know you're just going to have to grind it out.
