Amy Yang

Blythefield Country Club

Q. Here with Amy. Amy, first off, congrats on another 67. Talk about today. You got off to a good start. Looked like on the back, speed on the greens got a little iffy. How do you pull it back together and get in the house at 67?

AMY YANG: I mean, all day -- all week my ball striking has been really good, so I was giving myself good chances out there.

I was a little bit off with putting speed during the round, made a couple mistakes, but I tried to stay patient and just keep trying throughout the round.

Q. So you have said I'm out here to win a major, and T4 in Houston at Chevron. Now we're really rolling into major season. You played 68 majors. Going into this -- I like this reaction.

AMY YANG: I wasn't counting.

Q. Going into next week and playing this well, tell me what you're thinking about over the next couple months?

AMY YANG: I know KPMG is coming and another two weeks after that U.S. Open is coming. Always doing my best to win my first major out there.

If I play good this week it'll definitely give me good confidence going into a major, and just going to try it.
