Q. Great round out there. You must be delighted with that effort this morning?

LATANNA STONE: Yeah, definitely played a lot easier this morning with less wind than yesterday afternoon.

Q. What was the key to that round in terms of the holes out there?

LATANNA STONE: Made a lot of putts out there. Kind of stayed patient and just kind of, you know, was playing my game that I did yesterday and taking advantage of the less wind.

Q. And this is your first Women's Amateur appearance. What's it been like being around here?

LATANNA STONE: My first time being here, playing links is actually so much fun. It's such a different experience compared to the States, and I think that this will definitely help my golf game for future events.

Q. How did you think it will help?

LATANNA STONE: I think it will help just because getting the exposure and playing against the best amateurs in the world. You know, going across the seas, I think it's very special.

Q. You said you had no knowledge of links golf, but you obviously picked it up this morning. What's the difference from yesterday to how you played the course today?

LATANNA STONE: Luckily I have my coach with me. So he's from the UK, and he's played links golf and grew up playing it. You know, him helping me out there definitely helped with the scores I put out.

Q. What's your coach's name?

LATANNA STONE: Andrew Dawes.

Q. So looking ahead, you're in good position, top 10 at the moment so you'll be into the match-play stage. How does that change your mentality when you go head-to-head from tomorrow?

LATANNA STONE: When you play a match, you have to focus on that one and only match first before thinking way ahead. You have to beat that person and move on and get into the finals, and I think that's kind of what I'm looking for is just taking it one match at a time pretty much.

Q. What were your aspirations coming over here? It's obviously your first visit but you're obviously a really talented player. How far do you think you can go?

LATANNA STONE: I'm trying to take it all the way. We're all here to win and I'm looking forward to the next couple days.
