Lee Hodges

Dublin, Ohio, USA

Muirfield Village

Quick Quotes

Q. Just talk us through the good round today with 69 and climbing up the board. So just what was going for you today?

LEE HODGES: Yeah, no I played really nice today. I'm hitting it really well. This is a golf course I feel like I can attack from where I'm hitting my driver. I feel like I've got some, had some good numbers and just being in the fairway's huge and I've been in a lot of fairways and hit some really nice irons. If I can get the putter going I feel like I can have a nice weekend.

Q. How different was the course this morning compared to yesterday afternoon?

LEE HODGES: Yeah, it's very different from morning to afternoon. But I'm excited to go home and see how these guys tackle it in the afternoon. There's going to be a couple really hard holes out there this afternoon that we had the luxury of little soft greens this morning. So it will be fun to watch.

Q. You had a pretty significant streak of consecutive under par rounds on the Korn Ferry Tour. Actually ended in Columbus, of all places. But what do you remember about that streak of events where it was just kind of really going for you?

LEE HODGES: Yeah, I mean, I didn't even think about it, like I just, I remember I shot like 2-over in Columbus and I remember them telling me that I had ended my under par streak. And I was like, What under par streak? And, but, yeah, no, just played some really nice golf for awhile there, which was nice. But I didn't really think about it too much, to be honest. But it was a nice streak to have.

Q. The significance of it now is that you're now going to be down to third in terms of PGA TOUR-sanctioned tours. Tiger holds the record in the 50s, Steve Stricker is trying to now do the same on the PGA TOUR Champions.

LEE HODGES: Nice.

Q. Are you aware of any of the history of any of that kind of streak?

LEE HODGES: I did not know that. But that is really cool. Any time you're in any conversation with somebody like Tiger or Steve Stricker it's pretty good.

Q. What are you looking forward to the rest of the way?

LEE HODGES: Just seeing how the golf course plays. I think this is the kind of course and kind of element that I can play some good scores in, because I think it's going to play really hard. So I think my ball striking's going to come in nice.
