KAYLA TREANOR: I would just start that I'm incredibly proud of our team. They had a remarkable year. So many moments we shared together, so many amazing games, and off the field. They just fought so hard all year. I think the most special thing about this team is there's so much love and connection on the field and often field. They care about one another and they are good people. You got to see a lot of magic on the field because of that.

I'm just incredibly proud of them. They are an amazing group of girls. They worked so hard, and it was just a remarkable year.

I would say tonight was obviously a really tough night for us to not be able to win that game, and obviously it was so close. But I'm just incredibly proud of them. They are an amazing group, and I've been really fortunate to be able to coach them this season.

Q. Can you describe the emotion in the locker room, especially the fifth-years who won't be coming back?

KAYLA TREANOR: Yeah, I think that's just the hardest part is the players that don't get another chance at this, and poured their heart into it. So it's obviously really upsetting in the locker room because, you know it, was a group of players that really believed that we were going to win.

Just a difficult moment, but again, they should be incredibly proud of themselves.

Q. Multiple times this year or last year, you kept saying that Syracuse was -- inaudible. What is it about this program that makes you guys so special?

KAYLA TREANOR: There's really talented players that come here, and I think all year they have been spectacular, especially Meaghan. I mean, the history that she has made and the legacy that she has left at Syracuse is just remarkable. I mean, she's done something that very few players ever accomplish.

You know, I'm just so proud of her. She will go down in history at Syracuse as one of the greatest players ever, and she had an amazing career. She should be so proud of herself.

Q. Curious what you saw differently out of them in their defense that shut you guys down so much on offense this time around?

KAYLA TREANOR: I wouldn't really say it was a change. I think it really came down to just shooting.

MEAGHAN TYRRELL: I agree.

Q. Meaghan, what does it mean that your head coach, also one of the greatest players in Syracuse history, had that to say about you?

MEAGHAN TYRRELL: Being coached by Kayla is such a dream. I've said this probably like a thousand times, but I would, like, watch her highlights growing up to try to imitate her moves and how she works.

So to be able to have her and be able pick her brain for the last two years has been such a privilege, and I'm so honored to be able to have been coached by her.

Q. Last time-out, it was a 7-2 fourth quarter run and this time it was a 3-0 fourth quarter run. What was it that didn't necessarily go your way?

KAYLA TREANOR: I mean, I really think it comes down to our shooting we weren't able to put the ball in the back of the net at critical times and a couple of times when we were free, we were back checked. We were able to get in and get good opportunities. We just ultimately didn't finish the plays when we needed to.

Q. Meaghan, Coach talked about the fifth-year players that won't be coming back, but what kind of place do you leave the program with the players that are coming back and have a chance to continue the momentum?

MEAGHAN TYRRELL: I'm excited to see next year. We have a ton of people coming back and there will a lot of energy and the same chemistry we're working with. It will be different to watch from the stands, but so pumped to see where this team takes themselves in the future.

Q. Boston College got seven free position opportunities and you guys only got one. Do you think that was a product of how you guys played or how they played?

KAYLA TREANOR: Yeah, it was extremely frustrating when they only have two fouls in the entire second half. It does make a difference in a one-goal game.

Is that why we lost? No. But I do think it played a big factor in the second half for sure.

Q. Meaghan, obviously this is your last game. What's it meant to you to be at Syracuse, what will be your legacy and what will you remember?

MEAGHAN TYRRELL: Probably just the people I met here. I met so many people here. I've had over a hundred different teammates. I had some of them as a freshman, one of the seniors was here and she was just, "I've been so proud to watch you kind of grow throughout your career."

I guess thinking about all those relationships that I've made. Being able to kind of help this team create, as well, so they will have those memories when they come back four years down the line.

I think just kind of what I'm leaving behind is the importance of people. Lacrosse at the end of the day, yes, it's a game that's a huge part of your life, but I just think the people that you meet with and interact with are so much more important.

Q. Can you talk about Schweitzer's performance?

KAYLA TREANOR: Yeah, she's been amazing all season. You know, she's proven to be the top goaltender in the country, and tonight she made such an impact in Boston getting extra possessions, picking up passes and coming out of the net and clearing the ball. She was fearless today, and you know, that's really how she's played all year.

You know, obviously we were able to win but it was a huge difference in the game tonight just her, really not only stopping the ball, but getting us extra possessions with her cross-turnovers.

Q. The last time you guys played BC, 99.9 percent sure I asked about the fouls and you mentioned there was one specific play in the fourth quarter of that last game. Was there a play to be the in the second half or fourth quarter where you thought that was a turning point?

KAYLA TREANOR: Off the top of my mind, no. The first time we played them -- that our last offensive position with limited time on the clock, and you know, I think it really came down to that play.

This time, no, it wasn't particularly one play. I think it was just in general the play of the whole half, and they only got two fouls, zero in the third quarter. I don't know, seems pretty lopsided to me.

Q. Jenn Medjid had five goals; what makes her so special and why is it so hard to stop her?

KAYLA TREANOR: Yeah, she had a great game. She's really efficient and she shot 5-for-6. You know, she stepped up in a big moment. Really carried their team tonight. Just was able to finish. You know, so she had a great game tonight.
