THE G4D OPEN

May 11, 2023

Kim Moore

Woburn, England, UK

Mixed Zone

Q. How have you been finding it here at the G4D Open in general?

KIM MOORE: It's been great. Just all the volunteers and just all at accommodations made, the tournament's one of my favourites, and it's been going great.

Q. What do you make of the Duchess Course?

KIM MOORE: It's definitely a challenge and it's longer than what I've been playing lately and I think the length comes from it being pretty wet out there, soft conditions. It's a shot-maker's course. You really have to be able to place your golf ball and put them in the right spot so you have a chance to make a par or hopefully you have a pretty good short game because you're going to need it out here.

Q. If the overall champion here is male this week, there is a prize for the leading female and you're right in the mix for that. How happy are you with the way you've played so far in the first two rounds?

KIM MOORE: Yesterday I didn't play as good as I would have wanted to start out. I didn't hit as many good shots as I typically do. Today I definitely hit the ball much better. I still made a few mistakes here or there. I definitely think I have the potential to go definitely do better than I did today as well but I did better, so you know, a step in the right direction and I'm happy with that.

Q. And how important is it that these big G4D events continue to be mixed events seeing men and women and all different disabilities competing against each other?

KIM MOORE: I think it's huge. Just the awareness of it brings men and female, right, male and female, and kids, as we just saw with some of the kids that were here, but yeah, I think just opening up to all sorts of disabilities and mixed, I think will only make this event bigger. It will make -- add to more adaptive events in the future, and I think that's what it's all about.
