Quick Quotes

Q. I know it was a little bit of a late charge for you guys, but you did get some points on the board today. In Gee, what does it mean to get some points today and win a couple matches?

IN GEE CHUN: I know the group had a tough first and second day, so we really wanted to win today. I think we did more trust each other, and I'm so happy to win today.

It was great to see all the fans out there. I feel glad to make win in front of them. I want to just say thank you to the spectators who's come out and cheered support team Korea.

Q. Jin Young, I heard you hit a couple shots really close out there today. Tell me about those couple of holes and getting those birdies.

JIN YOUNG KO: Well, I was really comfortable on the front nine and I shot maybe one or two feet some shots, and I made a lot of birdies on the front nine.

On the back nine I wasn't feeling comfortable, but Hye-Jin carried me on the back nine. We wanted to finish fast. On No. 16 we had birdie chances, and yeah, if I make it, we were done, so I crush it, and we were done. We were so happy.

I know we charged late, but we really wanted to win this game because, yeah, everybody knows we had a really important game.

We really focused on our game, and we're really happy to finish to win.

Q. What has it meant to each of you being able to partner with some of your other teammates? I know that's not really a thing that happens out on the LPGA Tour, but what has it meant to be teammates with these girls?

JIN YOUNG KO: Yeah, I love to play -- we love to play team match. I know it's first time to play International Crown, so it feels a little weird and a little awkward, but Hyo Joo and me, we know each other a long time, so we feel very comfortable.

Q. In Gee, what did you learn about Hye-Jin this week? Younger player but really solid out here on Tour. What was it like partnering with her and seeing what her game is?

IN GEE CHUN: I saw her a lot of fashion on the course the last three days, and I really enjoyed to play with her. Then I was looking to see her game really close.

I think we had a great time this week, and always I feel more comfortable and happy to play with team partner. I think it's a good memory for me this week.

Q. In Gee, what does it feel like to not have an opportunity to defend your crown tomorrow?

IN GEE CHUN: Sad. I know I feel sad and a little disappointed we can't show our game anymore tomorrow, but I believe our Korean players, they're all strong. I believe we can make better result like next week, and then we want to take the good positive things from this week, so we learned a lot this week. Hopefully I can see all the fans next time, too.

Q. Jin Young and In Gee, what do you think led the team not to perform relative to those expectations this week?

JIN YOUNG KO: Well, I played well, Hyo Joo played good, just Australian players strong and Thai players as well. Golf is really hard, so it makes happen to everybody. We don't have any regrets on the course, just we did our best.

Q. Was there any more pressure this week given Hanwha coming in as a sponsor as well as the numerous South Korean fans that were around the team this week?

JIN YOUNG KO: No, we were really thankful Korean sponsors got this event, so we really want to play really well because yeah, Korean sponsors and lots of Korean fans out there.

But yeah, it doesn't work, so maybe 2025 we have one more chance to get back crown. We'll see.
