Quick Quotes

Q. Thailand has already clinched a spot in the semifinals on Friday. Ariya, great match out there with your sister. Tell me how it was out there today. I know the conditions were a little chillier than yesterday.

ARIYA JUTANUGARN: Actually it's pretty cold today because we had pretty late tee time. Today I felt much better with my putting. Everything started to get better. But I missed a lot of tee shots, also, so my sister been helping me a lot.

Q. Mo, how have you been helping her with those tee shots?

MORIYA JUTANUGARN: Well, I'm glad I heard that but I don't feel like I'm really helping today. A lot of the putts I actually put pressure on her, which happened a lot. It's not super solid today, but I think it's just because it's really cold.

I feel like she do a lot of work.

Q. Patty, the partnership between you and Jeeno, I know you mentioned heading into the week you've never played together before, but why is it you're able to play so well together?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: I think for us to support each other on each hole where I need to execute, I execute, she needs to execute, I execute, and we just like kind of come in at the right time for the past two days.

But overall like we're pretty comfortable with each other, and we kind of play with confidence that we're always going to have each other's backs, so there's nothing to really worry about.

Q. Jeeno, kind of close it out early today. How nice was it to get a win and not have to go to 17 and 18?

ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Yeah, I mean, it's pretty nice to stop by 16, not going to 18 because yesterday we going to 18. I think it's kind of -- I mean, like back nine is kind of tough condition, to, you know, make the birdies.

They are pretty solid and then hit pretty straight and create, and we tried to keep each other up and just like, hey, be patient and do what we had to do, just do it with confidence.

Q. Patty, is that past experience from winning here at regionals helping you? You seem to look really confident.

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, I love this course. I feel like it is a really tight course, but it doesn't seem tight for me just because I really love this course and I feel like I can really get it going with a lot of confidence.

That really helped with my flow, too. That's why I really hit it well.

Q. Mo and May, what do you think it is about match play that brings out the best in you?

MORIYA JUTANUGARN: I feel like one good thing about match play is you only play one hole at a time and it really keeps me like to have to hit like one good shot at a time, which is very, very help. Pretty much we want to do that every week.

And also just because we're very, very comfortable playing with each other and feel like she had my back a lot today.

Q. Ariya, what is it about match play that makes you play so well?

ARIYA JUTANUGARN: I feel the same thing, especially when I play with my sister because I feel like I don't have to be worried. Even when I miss the shot, I'm like, so what, you just have to make birdie or something. So I don't worry when I play with my sister.

Q. Patty, already having a spot in the semifinals, tomorrow is there a strategy that's different for tomorrow? Are you just playing fun and loose and trying to see some different parts of this golf course?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: A little bit of both. We maybe have to play for better seeding going into Sunday, but we will talk about strategy after this. I think we've got some points that we need to share and some opinions that we need to elect on.

Q. Do you think the good dynamic that you all have really helps when it comes to that kind of conversation when you're really trying to figure out, okay, what did you do well today that I didn't do well or she didn't do well?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, everyone is pretty open and honest and I feel like I can be honest with anyone without anyone taking it personally. I feel like that really helped. I think that really helped, and I think we'll always come up with some strategy that I think we're all just so confident being with each other already.
