MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 7, 2023

Joaquin Niemann

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. Tell us about your round today.

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: I don't know, I think it was kind of like a hard 18. I've been struggling on that tee shot. It takes me a lot of work to hit that fairway on 18. Tried something different today than yesterday, and it didn't work.

Pretty happy I made par on the last one. That makes dinner taste a little better, you know.

Q. Talking about dinner, I'm assuming you're going to have dinner with Mito. Two Chileans at the Masters, and two Chileans making the cut.

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: I'm glad Mito made the cut. When I saw him on No. 2, I think I was on 7, and he was 3-over. So that's pretty good playing on the back nine. Yeah, I'm pretty sure he -- hopefully he has a good weekend, and I'll be up there with him.

Q. What do you think it means for Chile?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: It's big for Chile. I don't think we've had two players from Chile playing at the same time at the Masters. So that's positive.

Then I think we're obviously not here just to play, and I think we've got enough game to be competing. Hopefully we can keep fighting for more Masters in the coming years.
