Q. How would you characterize the day?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Yeah, it was good. Solid. Good start to the week.

Q. What was working so well for you?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Felt like I was in control of the golf ball, moving it both ways. And, yeah, it's great when someone in your group shoots 7-under. You want it to be you every time, but he was the horse, so we're chasing.

Q. Did you feed off him a little bit?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: As much as you can. Just feed off of there's just a lot of people on every hole, because of Tiger, so if you hit a good shot they will clap for you.

Q. Does that kind of, playing with Tiger and obviously Viktor playing well, does that give you a lot of energy?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: I think so. It could go either way. You just got to get it to go your way.

Q. Is it easier to play well when someone in your group is playing well?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: I think so. I want to say it doesn't really matter, but from, you know, historically or statistically, if you look, I think usually when there's some guy shooting really low there's other guys who will follow him. They may not be the lowest rounds of the day either, but if someone's shooting 7-under and a bunch of guys shoot 3-under with 'em, then I would say so.

Q. What do you think it is about that?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Just seeing good tee balls. Usually the guy who is low of the day will be hitting first off a lot of tees. So hitting a lot of fairways. It's nice lines to watch. Then guys are holing putts, so feels like you could do the same.

Q. Was this a day to get this golf course?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: I mean, based on the forecast, yes. I don't know, obviously, but from what I've seen, you know, it looks like it's going to rain. Not only rain, but blow. And this is going to be a very long, long property when it does that.

Q. Tell us about the pin placement on 4. Seems like it's giving some guys trouble today, but you were able to deal with it.

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: 4? The par-3? Yeah, it's a classic pin location. It's nice that they put it up to 175 or 177 yards as what it was today. Yeah, with the greens being a little more receptive in that back area, you can, if you hit a good shot you get rewarded.
