Los Angeles, California, USA

Palos Verdes Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. All right, here with Lucy Li after her third round here at the DIO Implant LA Open. Take us through your round today. Of string of birdies on the back. What was working with so well there?

LUCY LI: Yeah, I was hitting it good all day and stroking it good. Kind of just staying patient. On the bike nine I missed like a really short putt on 12 and then I bogeyed 13 and I was kind of mad going into the par-5. It was downwind. Like that's a long hole up into the hill, so I was mad. Just I like smashed a driver down there and got 3-wood onto the green, so that was nice to get a birdie.

After that, just kept it going.

Q. How important is it for you to try and take advantage of moving day?

LUCY LI: Yeah, I mean, definitely -- I kind of try not to treat it differently from a normal day, but definitely having the par-5s be gettable and then just kind of like a little bit more -- it was more of a scoring day today, which I thought was -- it was like a little windy, so -- but definitely just taking advantage of like the shots that I hit and being patient.

Q. And I know last week you didn't make the cut. This week you did make the cut. Does is feel any different doing it as a member this year or is it just golf?

LUCY LI: Yeah, definitely. I feel like last week was a little bit of a misnomer. I mean, I was really confident going into the season. I've been playing really good at home. I think just maybe not having played in competition for so long kind of just like feeling just like off with a little bit of pressure.

I wasn't like super nervous or anything, but just not being used to that kind of threw me off a little bit. That golf course didn't well suit me well and this course I feel is lot more comfortable out there. Definitely feels good to get a couple good rounds.

Q. Did you enjoy playing with fellow American today and a little bit your senior, Jess Korda?

LUCY LI: Yeah, fun playing with Jess. I knew her a little bit from playing in Morgan's charity thing earlier in the year. Yeah, it was fun. And getting to go play in a twosome, a little bit if a faster pace, it was nice.
