LPGA DRIVE ON CHAMPIONSHIP

March 25, 2023

Jennifer Kupcho

Gold Canyon, Arizona, USA

Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Okay, here with Jennifer Kupcho after her third round. As a member here at Superstition Mountain, I want to know what you sort of have seen out here these past few days that maybe was unexpected or different than what you're used to here or how the course is playing differently than in a practice round I guess?

JENNIFER KUPCHO: Yeah, being being out here as member it's definitely a lot softer. They have to keep it softer for the members as every course does.

Just being out here to for the LPGA event it's a lot firmer, greens are a lot faster.

Q. What sort of support have you been getting out here as one the members of that club?

JENNIFER KUPCHO: A lot. There has been a lot of members out the last three days. I'm sure there will be a lot tomorrow. It's awesome to see familiar faces out here.

It's nice to have people cheering me on. I don't necessarily get that every week, where normal -- like say say, Nelly always have people yelling their names. I have that this week.

Q. How has that support helped you throughout the rounds? I know it took some getting used to playing out here, but had a really good round today.

JENNIFER KUPCHO: Yeah, I think the first rounds I was a little bit nervous just because I didn't want to let everybody down. But I think last couple days I've just embraced that they're cheering me on, they're not just going to hate me because I play bad.

Just trying to may as well as I can to entertain them.

Q. Last round tomorrow. Feel like you made the most of moving day and what are some of those goals for tomorrow?

JENNIFER KUPCHO: Yeah, I think I left a couple shots out there, but you can't really expect to make everything.

I mean, be awesome to say I won on my home course, but I think the rest of the scores are going to come in a little bit low the rest of the day.

So we'll see what happens.
