Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Amy Yang. Wow, what a day. Round of the week, I believe the tournament scoring record for 18 holes. 9-under 63 today. I don't even know where to start. Tell me about your round.

AMY YANG: Oh, well, I hit it so solid out there, especially my second shot going into the green was really solid.

And especially my putting worked really well today. I could see the break. Just over the ball I could see the break and the speed, just one of those days you just got the good feeling about your playing.

So I just enjoyed it out there.

Q. You had a lot of birdies on the card. Couple back to back, some three in a row and some four in a five-hole stretch. Any stand out in particular to you?

AMY YANG: I mean, a lot of them were like inside 20 feet, so that tells my swing was really working well today.

Q. Did you make any adjustments? First two days had a couple pairs of 2 -- under 70s, which weren't bad scores, but what did you change that worked better?

AMY YANG: Been working on just good rhythm in my swing, good sequence to get there, and I think I just got the good momentum throughout the round.

Q. I know it's playing a little shorter out there today. Hit the green in two on the last. Did you notice that that helped you play a little bit better today, you think?

AMY YANG: You know, I tee'd up at 9:00 this morning so I think it helped the ball wasn't release so much like yesterday afternoon. I think that really helped.

Q. You've played some golf already this season, but let's talk about last year. I know that was a challenging year for you battling injury. To come back and a -- you played some pretty good golf this year, and then just to have a round like today, what emotions are you feelings or is it finally just relief?

AMY YANG: Yeah, I'm still battling through my injury, tennis elbow, but it's been -- it's getting better, and it's great to see how I perform today. It's going to give me some confidence boost foregoing forward.

Q. Moving day, you definitely made a move. Heading into Sunday, seeing that kind of round on the golf course, what's the mindset going to be?

AMY YANG: Same thing, you know. Just 18 more holes of golf. Still a lot of golf out there, so I'm just going to keep working on same thing: Good rhythm, enjoy out there, and do my best.

Q. I know rhythm can be tricky. What do you do to work on your rhythm?

AMY YANG: It's very simple. You know, 1, 2, 3, making sure I make good sequence throughout the swing. Just keeping it really simple.
