JIN YOUNG KO: My goal this week was to make the cut, because truthfully my condition isn’t good. My voice being gone and my game are separate things, but it’s tough not being able to speak much, but I still did my best.

I couldn’t talk much with my caddie Dave today. I wish we could have talked more especially when selecting clubs, but it was too tough to speak. But considering everything, I thought it was good to finish with a bogey-free round.

There was less wind blowing today compared to yesterday, playing in the morning. The greens were softer today too. I think my game overall was generally better today. I decreased the number of putts. My goal was to get my putts in the 20s and that helped me with my score. I believe if I can get my putts in the 20s in the remaining days, my scores will be good.

I hope my neck gets better soon, so I can play comfortably next week too. I’ve been drinking warm water and honey water, but voice isn’t coming back quickly. I’m trying my best to conserve my energy to use it during play.
