THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

March 11, 2023

Adam Svensson

Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA

TPC Sawgrass

Quick Quotes

Q. Just talk about the round.

ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, it was a great start, obviously, birdie on 1. Great start, and then hit it behind a tree on 2, and just wasn't my day. Had a couple mistakes. The triple hurt a lot. I had fun, and I enjoyed it. It was a great time.

Q. What was the objective at the beginning of the day, before the third round?

ADAM SVENSSON: There was no objective. You just never know with golf. Just try to play my best; that was it.

Q. Were you a little bit off with anything in particular or just kind of the whole of the game?

ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, a little bit with the putter, a little bit with the irons. You're going to have one of those days. But I just didn't -- when you have those days, you scramble for par or whatever, but just had too many mistakes.

Q. Were you a little bit nervous playing in the last group with Scottie Scheffler and what it means, THE PLAYERS?

ADAM SVENSSON: It was very strange. I was very calm. I wasn't nervous. Yeah, I don't know.

Q. Do you pay much attention to what your other playing partners are doing ever? Obviously Scottie was 4-under par through five holes. Did that register with you, or were you pretty much focused on your own stuff?

ADAM SVENSSON: No, he's a good player. He does what he does. No, it didn't rattle me at all. I just really enjoyed the experience out there. I think it's great for me, and I'll do better next time.

Q. You're still in the mix for a pretty good finish this week, obviously, big money, a lot of points. This is a big event. As far as tomorrow goes, just try to get back to what you were doing the first two days, I guess?

ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, I'm just going to try and shoot 6-, 7-under tomorrow, and if I don't, I don't. It's all good.

Q. What will you do tonight?

ADAM SVENSSON: I don't know. Probably -- it's been a long day.
