THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

March 10, 2023

Adam Svensson

Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA

TPC Sawgrass

Quick Quotes

Q. How would you assess your play so far today?

ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, it's been great. Hitting a lot of fairways, a lot of greens, putting well. Just playing safe, playing aggressive when I can.

Q. Do you feel like when your putting is good, this is the kind of play you can get going?

ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, I've been working pretty hard at it, so I'm happy to see them going in the hole.

Q. What did you feel like you were doing best today during this round?

ADAM SVENSSON: Kind of everything, hitting fairways and making some putts, even from off the green, and overall stay really calm and patient.

Q. How much does it make you feel more comfortable and confident in situations like this, especially in big events?

ADAM SVENSSON: Huge. I mean, it's everything. It's super relaxed and calm. I just feel like I belong here.

Q. How do you prepare for tomorrow?

ADAM SVENSSON: I'm just going to get some rest and food, and I'm just really enjoying myself out here playing this golf course. It's pretty fun.

Q. How do you feel about where you're at? Long day tomorrow, everything that's ahead, what are you thinking about at this point in time?

ADAM SVENSSON: I feel good. I've been playing pretty solid. I haven't made very many bogeys. I'm just super relaxed and enjoying the golf course.

Q. First time here; has there been anything that's surprised you about the way the course played maybe today compared to yesterday or just as a whole for the first two rounds?

ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, I mean, it was playing tough today with that wind. You had a couple easy holes, but we had a lot of crosswinds on 17. It was going both ways and stuff like that.

Q. What's maybe the big challenge with such a long day tomorrow and then playing at the top of the board, all the stuff that goes into a day like tomorrow?

ADAM SVENSSON: I think staying focused. I've done a lot of 36-hole qualifiers, and you just get mentally drained. Just got to get some good rest and stay focused and just keep enjoying myself because I'm having a lot of fun.

Q. Parents are here; what's it like having them be close by, supporting you and everything?

ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, it's awesome. I rarely get to see my mom. She comes down a couple times a year. My girlfriend left today, which sucks, because she has work. But yeah, it's great to have my parents here.

Q. When was the last tournament that they came to see you?

ADAM SVENSSON: My dad went to Torrey and Waste Management, and I think that's -- oh, he came to Honda, too, my dad.
