THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

March 10, 2023

Taylor Pendrith

Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA

TPC Sawgrass

Quick Quotes

Q. How would you assess the play so far in the second round?

TAYLOR PENDRITH: Pretty solid. Pretty steady. Obviously say the wind is blowing from a different direction today, it's pretty tricky out there. It was blowing pretty hard for awhile. Kind of died down the last 20 minutes, which was exciting and then they called it for the day. But, yeah, no, I've been playing pretty steady, I would say, lots of pars. Haven't had really too many good looks at birdie. Just came off a birdie on 13 so looking forward to tomorrow.

Q. How did the change in wind direction change how this course played today?

TAYLOR PENDRITH: Yeah, a lot of the tee shots were completely different than yesterday. So you just kind of have to be careful of what club you hit off the tee. 10's downwind, 11's kind of straight into the wind. So definitely played different and I think harder, it was a harder wind direction for some of the tee shots.

Q. How will you kind of prepare for what's going to be a little bit of a long day? I know you don't have that many holes to play, but how do you mentally and physically prepare for tomorrow.

TAYLOR PENDRITH: Just go home and get some rest and come out here in the morning. Hopefully there's not as much wind and it should be a nice morning. Get going and finish up my round and see what happens. I feel like we're kind of used to these long weeks, so just managing your energy and resting and coming back prepared.

Q. What do you feel like you're doing the best this week so far on the golf course?

TAYLOR PENDRITH: Yesterday I drove it really well. I hit every fairway. Today I drove it pretty good, it was just tricky to hit fairways with that wind. But staying very patient. I feel like my mental game this week is good and it's a course where you can be aggressive where you need to and patience is key. Haven't really put myself in too many difficult spots around the greens this week, so I think that's been the key.
