WOMEN'S AMATEUR ASIA-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP

March 10, 2023

Audrey Tan

Singapore

Quick Quotes

Q. Welcome to the second round of the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship. How did it go out there for today? You had a pretty good round. I think four birdies.

AUDREY TAN: Yeah, it was slightly better today. I think I played a little smarter. I learned a lot from yesterday and took the smart play on certain holes and then could take aim on the holes that I felt comfortable on. So I just felt a little more comfortable today out there, especially on the greens and, yeah, I was able to make the putts.

Q. What holes did you make birdie and what worked well today?

AUDREY TAN: 13, 17, 3, and 8. So two of them were par-3s and two of them par-4s.

Q. What holes did you find you were struggling?

AUDREY TAN: Let me think. For me, it was the back nine. For some reason 15 played hard for me even though it was downwind and wasn't necessarily the longest hole on the golf course. But for me, the tee shot was difficult visually so I found it difficult to find the fairway yesterday and today. But I was able to save par with putts.

Q. Last year you came in tied for 21. What's your goal for this week?

AUDREY TAN: Not necessarily any result goals, just kind of sticking to my game plan and playing one shot at a time, seeing how much I can improve each day and just enjoying the golf course. It's amazing, I love it, it's so cool.
