Quick Quotes

Q. Can you tell us your name and what country you're from?

VIVIAN LU: My name is Vivian Lu, and I'm from New Zealand.

Q. You've just played the first round here at Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific championship. How did it go for you today?

VIVIAN LU: I had a good day. It was definitely very challenging with the slopes, like walking it. The course was also really tough, but I played pretty well, made a lot of pars. I think I made two birdies and a bogey, and yeah, it was a good day.

Q. Were there any holes that stood out to you?

VIVIAN LU: Not really, but I did have nine pars in a row. I parred 1 through 9, so all of them, so I guess that was pretty good.

Q. What's your plan going into tomorrow then?

VIVIAN LU: Definitely getting home, getting some rest and doing the same thing tomorrow. Making pars and trying to get those birdies, too.

Q. Do you have a goal for the week?

VIVIAN LU: I want to get top 5.

Q. You've played in three Women's Amateurs. What have you learnt over the years?

VIVIAN LU: I've learnt that it's definitely very challenging. It's not easy. It's four days of golf. There's always a chance to win.
