March 9, 2023

Caitlin Peirce

Singapore

Quick Quotes

Q. Can we start with your name and what country you're from.

CAITLIN PEIRCE: Caitlin Peirce, and I'm from Australia.

Q. This is your second time playing at Women's Amateur Asia Pacific championship, and you've just had your first round here today. How has it gone today for you?

CAITLIN PEIRCE: I feel like it went pretty well. I had 1-under, which was, I think, all right, considering the wind and the heat this afternoon. I'm pretty happy with that.

Q. Were there any holes that stood out for you today?

CAITLIN PEIRCE: No, not really. A lot of pars is what it felt like. 9 was tricky, but otherwise, nothing too overwhelming.

Q. What's your plan going into tomorrow then?

CAITLIN PEIRCE: I'm off early tomorrow, so hopefully get a good score in early and see how it goes, and prep for the third round hopefully.

Q. What did you learn from playing in Thailand last year? Is there anything you took away from that to bring into this week?

CAITLIN PEIRCE: For me, it was another opportunity to play in humid conditions. Definitely, a lot more used to this sort of weather since playing in Thailand, so I thought that was a good lead-up for this.

Q. For the whole week, what's your goal?

CAITLIN PEIRCE: I guess to play as well as I can and see where I finish.
