WOMEN'S AMATEUR ASIA-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP

March 9, 2023

Hailey Loh

Singapore

Quick Quotes

Q. You just came off your first round here at the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific and you were first to tee off this morning. How did that feel?

HAILEY LOH: I wasn't even thinking about me hitting the opening tee shot until my coach mentioned it and I was really, really a bit nervous. But I kind of controlled my emotions and I striped it down the fairway. So that was good.

Q. Can you talk us through your round today? You had a couple of birdies.

HAILEY LOH: I had five birdies, I think. I did make a couple of mistakes. I finished pretty well. I went birdie, birdie, par. I lipped out for birdie on the last, which was kind of sad.

But, yeah, it was definitely a struggle because the course is really undulating and just walking it is really tiring. I got a little bit tired in the middle, but in the end, it was okay.

Q. What hole stood out for you today, good or bad?

HAILEY LOH: I almost eagled 17. I almost holed out from 58 meters. So that was really good. I made a long birdie putt on 6. So those two holes definitely stood out for me.

Q. What's your plan for tomorrow?

HAILEY LOH: My plan for tomorrow is that I need to get some rest today because it was really hot out there. I think tomorrow I'll just play the same way. I was hitting a lot of fairways and greens, so I think that definitely did help.
