Ashleigh Buhai

Sentosa Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. After another good start, after the first round, 3-under today, I know the golf course is playing a little bit soft out there. Just evaluate your day.

ASHLEIGH BUHAI: Yeah, the golf course was soft. You could be fairly aggressive, but there were some tricky pins today for our first day. These are more like Sunday pins. But I was very patient. Any day you have no bogeys, that's a good day out there.

Q. How did you adjust to the conditions? I know we played last week, and then have a breath of rain in the air, and then now it's sopping wet out there.

ASHLEIGH BUHAI: Yeah, I mean, we've played here so many times. Obviously, a lot of us didn't get to see the course this week. But I think with it being soft, you just kind of see it and hit it, and you knew it wasn't going to go very far if you kind of hit it on line. So I felt first day out, adjusted pretty good.

Q. What did you learn maybe from last week that might have applied to this week that helped you off to a good start?

ASHLEIGH BUHAI: Yeah, just try to continue the momentum and what I did, you know, basically from Friday through Sunday. I had a lot of good putts today, just didn't drop. But I stayed very patient. And, again, I'm just trying to play from, like, a calmness. That's my goal last week and this week, and just try to keep the intensity down, and hopefully I can keep doing that.
