Q. How was it out there?

JASON KOKRAK: Yeah, got off to a really good start. I think a little bit easier wind to start off on No. 1, and then kind of the gusts playing 11 through 16 is pretty difficult. 17 and 18, I tried to pull off a shot on 18 that I probably should have just pitched it in the middle of the green. But it's early in the round. I can make it up. It's not the end of the world. Pleased with how I struck it around the front nine. Got a little wayward on the back nine, but made some nice par saves with a birdie.

Q. After the off-season, nice to get back playing again?

JASON KOKRAK: Yeah, with the couple months off I've been hanging out with my family and whatnot and been in the gym trying to work on my body instead of the golf game, but it's nice to get back playing. It's quite fun. It's a little bit windier than what I'm used to, but still a lot of fun to get back on the course.

Q. How was the course today?

JASON KOKRAK: It was in great shape since the last time I was here, a lot more grass. It's very plush. It's probably the best conditions I've seen it.
