Q. How much are you hooking forward to the Hero Cup this week?

SEPP STRAKA: Really excited. Really excited to be here. First time to the Emirates and really excited.

Q. Obviously it's an opportunity to showcase your match-play credentials as well. How much is that on your mind this week to showcase those?

SEPP STRAKA: Definitely. I think everybody could use some experience in this type of format, especially the team atmosphere. We don't get a whole lot of that. Any time you can get some experience doing that is awesome.

Q. You've had a meteoric rise over the last year or. So how happy are you with where your game is at at the moment?

SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, very happy. I took some time off so just shaking a little bit of the rust off here last week and this wee, but overall, over the last year I'm extremely thrilled.

Q. Saw a quote yesterday that The Ryder Cup is firmly on your mind going into this season? How much is this week an opportunity to showcase your talents and put yourself in that shop window?

SEPP STRAKA: It definitely is. I think mainly for experience, it's nice to kind of get the experience of playing a Ryder Cup-style event. Other than that, you know, it's hard to kind of force The Ryder Cup. So you've just got to keep improving your game and getting the results, and at the end, you might be there.

Q. Obviously it's a team dynamic so there will probably be some new faces that you meet. How have those team dynamics been?

SEPP STRAKA: They have been great. I got to meet some new people I didn't know before it's been awesome. The team room is set up great, and yeah, we've had a great time.

Q. You also had a great time the other evening at a Ryder Cup event with the past captains. How is it to see those and hear those experiences of The Ryder Cup?

SEPP STRAKA: It's great. They are legends that everybody grew up kind of idolising and to be able to be in the same room and get advice from them and hear stories from them in their time is pretty special.

Q. Just finally, if there's one thing you wanted to gain out of this week, what would that be?

SEPP STRAKA: Experience. Yeah, definitely experience in this type of event.
