LPGA Q-SERIES

December 11, 2022

Hae Ran Ryu

Mobile, Alabama, USA

Magnolia Grove

Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Hae Ran Ryu. What a performance. Funny enough, another Korean finish here, you're the second one in a row. Just how proud are you of that effort and you have an LPGA tour card now?

HAE RAN RYU: Earning this tour card means a lot, especially on the number one tour in the world. To be the first to finish makes me even prouder. And also to be the second Korean winner in a row.

Q. What does it tell you about the state of your game right now? How much have you been able to play in the states and play against like these kind of competitors?

HAE RAN RYU: I think I played a much better round yesterday. Start today was a little shaky. I missed some putts, but I was able to make some birdies in a row.

Going into next year I think I definitely need to practice on my putts.

Q. Well, on that note, going into next year, how long have you been dreaming of this moment?

HAE RAN RYU: I didn't think that I could earn the LPGA Tour card so soon. It's still unreal to me that I could play on the LPGA Tour.

I think with more time it would feel more real, and I look forward to playing with some of the best players in the world.

Q. When you hear the words, Hae Ran Ryu, LPGA Tour rookie in the same sentence, what do you think of?

HAE RAN RYU: It hasn't been that long ago since I was a rookie on the KLPGA, so to be a rookie once again feels new. Like I said, it hasn't been that long since I've been a rookie on KLPGA, and I look forward to playing on the LPGA next year.

Q. How do you think the experience on the KLPGA helped you this week and will help you next year?

HAE RAN RYU: A lot of the Korean golf courses are very narrow compared to the ones here in the U.S. which means my shots need to be very accurate, and that helped me a lot to play this week.

Q. Finally, how proud are you of yourself and this accomplishment? It's a big one.

HAE RAN RYU: There wasn't a lot of stroke difference when I first started this morning so I felt a little nervous, but overall I feel like I've grown once again by playing the Q-Series.
