LPGA Q-SERIES

December 3, 2022

Isi Gabsa

Mobile, Alabama, USA

Magnolia Grove

Quick Quotes

Q. So a 6-under round, bogey-free. How did it feel walking off that last green?

ISI GABSA: I was very happy to bring it into the clubhouse with bogey-free and shooting 6-under after having like two, not rough starts, but just not playing as I want to play, of course.

So I was really happy to bring home the 6-under.

Q. And then like you said, it's easy to, especially over two weeks, kind of focus on some bad shots. How do you stay positive when things don't necessarily go your way on the course to get yourself back into that mindset of things are going to be good and there is still a lot golf left?

ISI GABSA: We are only three-eighths of the way, so there is so much golf left. I'm trying to see it as two separate tournaments, but, yeah, just trying to focus on the good things and keeping the good things going and kind of -- like it's golf. You always make mistakes and you always have to keep going, so it's nothing new.

Just like try your best and like be out there and keep fighting. You never know when you shoot 6-under, yeah.

Q. And then like you said, part of like the up and down of golf is being able to leave it on the course and go do your own thing once you're back at your hotel or the airbnb. When you're not on the course what do you do outside of golf to get yourself rested and relaxed and prepared for tomorrow?

ISI GABSA: Probably going to play some Nintendo Switch. That's my go-to to switch off and play some Mario Kart and get angry that I drove into a banana or something like that.

Just keeping off my mind, and get some food with my brother and just chill and relax and watch -- I just started West World, so that keeps me busy, too.

Q. And then you mentioned having your brother here. How does it feel to have like support and familiar support with such a long golf tournament?

ISI GABSA: He's always my Q-Series caddie, so we always do Q-School together. We been here couple of times. We been through this many times, so we're just used to it. I really like to have him on the bag. He knows me like for 27 years now, so he knows which time to talk and which time not to talk.

Like he was explained to me about his new computer game that he's playing about some beavers that have to build a city, so that keeps me always busy and distracted on the course as well.
