ARAMCO TEAM SERIES - JEDDAH ROUND FIVE

November 10, 2022

Charley Hull

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Royal Greens Golf & Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. So back in Jeddah and Royal Greens once again, and obviously there was some big news yesterday regarding this very venue and the Saudi International?

CHARLEY HULL: What's the big news? I don't know.

Q. The prize fund has gone up to 5 million, so equal to the men's.

CHARLEY HULL: Will it be an LET event or PGA event?

Q. LET Invitational.

CHARLEY HULL: Okay.

Q. Up from 1 million to 5 million?

CHARLEY HULL: That's good then.

Q. Just on what has been a hell of a year for the ladies game, how have you embraced the way things have changed in terms of the Golf Saudi influence and in terms of being in mixed events, between team events and the normal stroke-play events?

CHARLEY HULL: I think it's been really good to be fair. They have been pushing some good money into the game and for the women for the LET. It's good for the Tour. What's pretty cool is come here to now there's so much more Saudi women actually playing. That's probably a real big thing as well.

But also, that 5 million dollars in the if you understand, I think that's brilliant, equalling it. Yeah, I think fair play to them. It's very important as well because all our majors are going up as well, and that will hopefully then push more tournaments to go up.

Q. Do you think that there will be a time when almost like the tennis where we can get them on a level playing field?

CHARLEY HULL: The I don't know if we'll be on a level playing field because obviously more people watch men's golf. For sponsors it's more appealing to sponsor men's events, which I don't understand and agree with that. But if you have the money and they are doing it, fair play to them.

Q. I don't know if you managed to meet Chiara, the Dubai-based German girl, 16-year-old?

CHARLEY HULL: No, I don't know. Is she the one that's done --

Q. Golf Saudi Ambassador.

CHARLEY HULL: She's got quite a good swing, I think. I've seen her. I didn't know who she was. She's got a good golf swing. She's quite tall, isn't she. She's got that in her favour.

Q. 16. Balancing doing her exams and the Tour.

CHARLEY HULL: Oh, perfect. Has she won on the Tour?

Q. She's just finished in the Access. So she won in the Czech Republic and she's played in a few of the ARAMCO and a couple LET events. I think in New York she was T-11. What's your feel for Royal Greens? What do you think of the course?

CHARLEY HULL: I really like it. I actually like the weather here. It's a like a little bit humid but it's not super humid compared to, like, Singapore and that. But it's nice. And it's quite a peaceful area. I actually quite like it. Especially where my head is at the minute, it's nice to just relax. The golf course is good, though. I think it's designed very well. The holes out on the water, the 16th hole, that's such a class hole. I do like that.

Q. Would you be coming for the Saudi International?

CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, hopefully. I think it will fit in my schedule pretty well. I'd like to come out as well. Do you know how many players are in it?

Q. I think it's 120 field. A few invites for the top Arab players.

CHARLEY HULL: That's good.

Q. Sticking with the team thing, on the men's, obviously a few weeks ago, we were here as well when we had thing LIV Golf. Do you have an opinion on it?

CHARLEY HULL: I think it's good for the game. I do quite like watching it. But I don't really watch too much golf, so I'm watching it because it's something new if you get what I'm trying to say. I usually watch majors.

Q. Talking about your head and where you're at, what's next in the immediate and future?

CHARLEY HULL: Next week I'm flying to Miami. Playing Naples and the Tour Championship that I won in 2016. So I like that golf course.

Q. Fond memory for it?

CHARLEY HULL: Yeah.
