WOMEN'S AMATEUR ASIA-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP

November 5, 2022

Virginie Ding

Pattaya, Thailand

Quick Quotes

Q. Virginie, great playing today. 4-under, 3-under total here at the Women's Amateur Asia Pacific. Are you happy with your round today?

VIRGINIE DING: I am. Started off a little rocky, but ended up coming back with I think four or five birdies, so overall pretty happy.

Q. As you say, found quite a few birdies out there. Are there any that stand out as the highlight of the day?

VIRGINIE DING: Oh, gosh. Yeah, I think I had a couple -- I just like approaching pretty close. I can't think of one right off the top of my head. I'm sorry.

But a lot of five-, six-feet birdie putts made, which was good.

Q. Really nice. What would you say was the strength of your game today?

VIRGINIE DING: Definitely just tee to green. I think I gave myself good fairway shots, good opportunities to get on the green close as I said, five to six feet, and I was able to roll them in.

Q. We call Saturday of the championship Moving Day, and you definitely moved yourself up the leaderboard. How are you feeling heading into the final round?

VIRGINIE DING: Good. I don't want to put too much pressure on tomorrow. I was thinking about it today, but just want to keep doing what I'm doing.
