WOMEN'S AMATEUR ASIA-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP

November 1, 2022

Fiona Xu

Pattaya, Thailand

Quick Quotes

Q. Welcome to the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific here in Thailand. How are you finding it so far?

FIONA XU: I think the weather is pretty good. It's not as humid as I expected. There was a bit of wind today, which was nice.

Q. You just played your practice round here at Siam Country Club Waterside course. What's your first impressions of the course?

FIONA XU: I think there's a lot of bunkers and there's a lot of water, but I think the course is pretty straightforward.

Q. How are you feeling coming into the championship this week?

FIONA XU: I think I'm feeling pretty good. I think my long game's pretty good. I'm hitting it pretty straight. My short game's working well this week, yeah.

Q. And there's a lot at stake this week with the two majors that you get to play if you win this week. What does it mean to you to have those opportunities?

FIONA XU: It will be a great opportunity to try playing with the best players in the world, especially the professionals, and I would just say how good -- how a professional tournament is different to the amateur tournaments.
