October 20, 2022

A Lim Kim

Busan, South Korea

LPGA International Busan

Quick Quotes

Q. 6-under 66. Evaluate your day. It was a pretty good day.

A LIM KIM: I think my putting went really well today and that really helped my game today. Personally, I thought that I can do better with my second shots, so that's what I'm going to really try and improve tomorrow.

Q. What in particular was not working with your second shots?

A LIM KIM: So here, because of the geography, it seems that the wind kind of swirls towards the upper part. And so I've had shots where it was too short or it was too long or kind of sideways, and now I kind of know how the wind is blowing, so for tomorrow I can do better.

Q. Any of the birdies stand out in particular?

A LIM KIM: So I think the eagle on 2 was actually what stands out most for me. I think after making that shot, that hole, I was able to give myself like really good momentum.

Q. You talk about your second shots but it must have been pretty good on that hole. How did you make that eagle?

A LIM KIM: So I think I was able to make that shot because everything sort of flowed and connected well. My driver shot, it went really far and went really straight. My second shot, I got 230 yards to the pin so it was really close.

I was also playing into the wind, so I was able to really get it close to the hole and also the putting went well. So I think all of that sort of combined for the eagle.

Q. What's it like being back in Korea at the BMW Ladies Championship playing in front of a hometown crowd?

A LIM KIM: I think definitely playing in Korea, I have a lot more energy, and I've been just relaxing at home and really having a lot of good food helps.

Q. What will you carry with you today as you look ahead to the next three days?

A LIM KIM: I think basically in this course in particular, every shot counts, so it is true that you need to putt well to get the low scores but in order to putt well, your second shot has to be really good. If your second shot wants to be good, you have to really get it right with the tee shot.

So I think going ahead, I'm going to really keep that in mind.
