Q. What allowed you to go two and a third innings today?

EMMANUEL CLASE: I felt like being the closer, that's huge. That gave me that confidence and it was easy for me to go extra innings.

Q. Was there any conversation in the 10th inning before you went back out there? Did you have to state your case at all?

EMMANUEL CLASE: Yeah, they kept me updated every inning I was going to go up again, and for me it was preparing mentally and remembering when I was a starter in the Minor Leagues and try to do the same thing.

Q. How fun has it been to be part of this season and part of the next-man-up mentality and how efficient you guys have been?

EMMANUEL CLASE: I love the extra importance of the games and the intensity. We just keep doing what we do and focus with the same intensity for us. Excited to be playing that way.

Q. Is there any particular plan right now to pitch to Judge?

EMMANUEL CLASE: Making sure he's not comfortable out there, and he's a good player and he has the power. But I just focus on my strengths and what I can do. I've faced him in the past and I know he's a good hitter, just try to execute my pitches and try to get him out.
