LPGA MEDIHEAL CHAMPIONSHIP

October 9, 2022

Georgia Hall

Somis, California, USA

The Saticoy Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Okay, here with Georgia Hall coming off her final round here at the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship. A really good round from you. What did you learn about this course over the past few days you feel that helped you today really exceed?

GEORGIA HALL: I think it's really important just to stay on the fairway to give yourself the best chance for birdies, because there is low rounds out there.

The greens are pretty tricky, so I just tried to put myself with uphill putts as much as possible, because downhill is very hard.

Q. Yeah. You went on like a really hot streak there on your last couple of holes. Can you take me through some of those big birdies there; 14, 15, 16, 17, all of them you birdied.

GEORGIA HALL: Yeah I had two eagle putts today and unfortunately didn't make one. But I had 20-footer on 14 I think for eagle, so that was a kind an easy two-putt birdie.

Then I hit it to like four foot both times on the next two holes, so made it easier for myself.

And then 17 didn't really hit a great pitch in and had 25 foot and holed it.

So I was really pleased the way I kind of finished my back nine as well, as I needed to birdie quite a few holes.

Q. You said this already, but hitting those greens is so important. Would you say that was one of the keys to your success today, or what was it that really helped you find all these birdie opportunities?

GEORGIA HALL: My long game has been really good this week and I have hardly missed a fairway, to be honest. I've always had kind of good chances at birdies.

And also, you need to put yourself on the right side of the green to leave yourself an uphill putt. That's what I tried to aim for today.

Q. We talked about this a little at the beginning of the week, but seeing your good friend Charley win last week, another Englishwomen at the top, how excited are you for the state of English women's golf and to be a part of that yourself?

GEORGIA HALL: Yeah, it's a very small country and there are only four or five of us on this tour, so to have maybe two winners in two weeks is very special. Obviously very proud of where I come from.

Yeah, hopefully we can do it.

Q. You know Jodi well. Going to be watching her throughout the rest of the round or...

GEORGIA HALL: Unfortunately I don't really know her that well. She's a fair bit older than me, so we kind of grew up like different times. I never saw her.

But, yeah, I mean, obviously she's from England and we always want our home country to do well.

Q. Obviously -- or maybe it's not obvious -- but still near the top. How happy you to have this really good finish? Who knows what can happen in the next few strokes, but how happy are you to have this great finish going into the last few events of the season?

GEORGIA HALL: Yeah, I mean, I'm playing really well and it's really nice to be in contention, to feel that even a birdie on the last could put me tied first.

So just really happy the way I played the whole week. Very consistent. I needed to kind of -- I wanted to try and get some Top 3s and Top 5s because I've been lacking a little bit of them this year, so I'm happy that at least I've done that.
