Q. So I guess just first, what does it mean to be heading to the LPGA full time?

GINA KIM: It feels amazing, because I managed to get the firsthand experience of what it's like to not have a great status and having to Monday Q into a lot of these LPGA events.

So just being able to go out there and have a good foundation to start off, I think it's a huge game changer, so I'm really excited for that.

Q. Can you just talk about all the emotions for today. Not only seeing one of your close friends win, but just all the ups and downs that came with decision day.

GINA KIM: Yeah, I couldn't even sleep last night. I was like, you know, it is what it is. Hopefully I'll get top 10. If not, I was mentally prepared to go to Q-Series as well.

Just being able to see my friend, Jaravee, win, that was huge for me. To be able to hear that I got my top 10, I mean, nothing beats this day.

So I'm just really happy everything worked out the way I wished it to.

Q. Yeah, definitely. Obviously you were a great junior golfer from the AJGA. Went to Duke, had some success obviously. Just talk about what it means to be able to perform at all the levels of golf from junior, collegiate, to professional?

GINA KIM: Wow, I didn't realize I've got than old. It feels great to be able to look back and see how my career has progressed with the AJGA to college golf up to now. I'm obviously excited to see what comes in the future.

Just being able to take it day by day and achieving these small little wins is really big for me. Hopefully there is more success coming along.

Q. Last question: Like you said, if you didn't get the top 10 you would've gone to Q-Series. What was it like when you knew that you were in the top 10 and you did make it after this long season?

GINA KIM: I guess a sigh of relief. I couldn't really eat anything, sleep well just knowing that it would come down to the final day. Just being able to hear it officially just meant the world to me.

So, you know, I'm obviously grateful to the Epson, to LPGA for even giving us women this chance to pursue our dreams.

Home hopefully we can do well with it and be successful out on the LPGA.
