EPSON TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP

October 7, 2022

Sophie Hausmann

Daytona Beach, Florida, USA

LPGA International, Jones Course

Quick Quotes

Q. Great round today. How do you feel coming off the green?

SOPHIE HAUSMANN: Thank you. Yeah, pretty good. I mean, some really solid golf. Hit it close a few times, which helps, and made a couple good putts.

I'm still -- have the 7 as my lowest. I really wanted to make that last putt. So I was like no, that's another 7. No doubt I'll take it.

Q. How do you rest and prepare to head into the next two days of golf?

SOPHIE HAUSMANN: You know, I have a pretty good dinner with friends planned for tonight. Beth is in town and couple other girls, so looking forward to that.

Then heading to bed, getting my PT stuff done, and trying to go out there tomorrow and have some fun.

Q. Awesome. I know that a top finish really makes a difference this week. How do you keep positive knowing that but also wanting to play your golf?

SOPHIE HAUSMANN: I mean, one thing is it is a four-day event, so I think that makes a difference, especially on this golf course. We see the scores right now. We see there is not much wind, so you can really -- you really do have 18 opportunities out there, and I think that's one of the main things.

If you think you maybe left one out or didn't make a birdie on a par-5, that's what I really try to tell myself. We're only halfway through, so there is a lot of golf left.
