EPSON TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP

October 6, 2022

Kim Kaufman

Daytona Beach, Florida, USA

LPGA International, Jones Course

Quick Quotes

Q. So a 5-under round. How did it feel walking off that last green?

KIM KAUFMAN: You know, it feels good to get that last one, especially on a par-5. I wanted that one. Really happy to it. It's testimony been a while since I've opened with 67. Maybe my first 67 of the year. So it feels good.

Game felt good, and it's nice just to put it down and actually have a score that shows it.

Q. And then bogey-free on the courses's front nine, your back nine. How did that feel?

KIM KAUFMAN: It was great because there are a few holes out there that are a little longer. Hit some good golf shots, and I just kept telling myself let's have nine good chances, and I think I had eight. I almost achieved that goal.

Q. And then I know there is still three days left of golf. It's a longer tournament than usual. How do you rest and prepare for the next three days after a great round like that?

KIM KAUFMAN: Yeah, it is different, especially not until tomorrow afternoon. I won't look at the leaderboard too much. I'll just remind myself of the good things I did. I'll hit a few balls, but I'll just try to come out this weekend and just play golf and just enjoy it.

There is a ton of golf left, so you never know what's going to happen.
