ALFRED DUNHILL LINKS CHAMPIONSHIP

October 1, 2022

Callum Shinkwin

St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland

Quick Quotes

Q. A stark contrast to yesterday; how was it out there?

CALLUM SHINKWIN: Still breezy, just no rain which was nice and no waterproofs, no wet arms, no wet hand, no cold hands. It was a much much more pleasant day.

Q. And your golf as well, does it put into context how good yesterday's round was, the fact that you shot 1-under and you're still in this tournament?

CALLUM SHINKWIN: Yeah, we played at Carnoustie in the wind in rain, it's never the best side of the draw, but other people weren't shooting good scores as the slightly easier courses which was sort of a bonus. I managed to get a good round going yesterday which helps massively.

Q. And obviously two prizes up for grabs this week, the individual and the team. 11-under today and currently top of the leaderboard on the team side of things. How much fun are you having out there?

CALLUM SHINKWIN: I mean, obviously still as a pro, still focused on the individual. It's hard not to assess what we're ingrained to do. Just play the best you can, and the amateur player has been doing well himself.

Q. 11-under as a team, you must have had an idea that you were having a great day?

CALLUM SHINKWIN: Not really, no. I just focus on my own score and my partner, he's very relaxed and chilled. He's enjoying himself playing golf. It's just nice when you're doing well.
