Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Celine Boutier. 3-under; four birdies, one bogey on the card. Really consistent today. What went so well out there?

CELINE BOUTIER: I think I just had really good up and downs that kept me going. I feel like it was kind of a struggle on the back which was my front because it was quite windy.

I feel like didn't have that many opportunities. But I had some good par saves that kept me going, and then managed to have a few opportunities at the end of my round.

So really took advantage of them and really happy with my round.

Q. Those few opportunities you did have out there today, I know there weren't a lot available, but was it just hitting shots close or making long putts?

CELINE BOUTIER: I mean, they were like maybe mid-range. Two were mid-range, like ten feet or so and one was about two feet. That was a little closer.

Yeah, I didn't really hit that many too close. I really -- the only few times I hit I made the putt for birdie, so that really helped me out quite a bit.

Q. Obviously member out here; have played out here some; don't play out here very often. Obviously that helped you today. What did you see out there today that maybe only a member would know?

CELINE BOUTIER: I don't think I have some special knowledge or anything, but I definitely know like some of the pin placement, like you're sometimes better off on left side or right side, even if you miss the green.

Like the chip is easier. So I feel like that really helped me be more comfortable. Sometimes it can be intimidating when the pins are tucked, but then you know if you miss it on the short side it's going to be fine anyway because the chip is uphill.

I think that definitely has helped feel more comfortable.

Q. What is it about you and wind? Played well in Scotland earlier this year; solo second there. What do you like about playing in the wind?

CELINE BOUTIER: I think just my ball flight in general is slightly lower. I also like to hit lower shots because I feel like I have more control and it doesn't get affected with the wind as much. So I think that's definitely helpful.

I feel like with my caddie I feel like we have also managed to make pretty good decisions off the tee especially, and so that definitely feels -- makes me feel more comfortable when it's tougher conditions.
