ALFRED DUNHILL LINKS CHAMPIONSHIP

September 29, 2022

Rasmus Hojgaard

St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland

Quick Quotes

Q. A terrific 5-under par 67 for your opening round. What pleased you most about your play?

RASMUS HØJGAARD: I would say my driving today. I feel like I drove it well. Put myself far up in the fairway and managed to set up some, I won't say easy, but a little more straightforward approach to the greens.

Q. This is your first time at this championship and it's a different format and different feel out on the golf course. What do you think now that you've experienced it?

RASMUS HØJGAARD: It's great. It's a lot of fun. Even though I have a decent crowd out there, I've had a lot of fun with Shane and Mohamed and Jerry out there. It was fun.

Q. Very eventful week for you last week in France, leading halfway by six and then battling back from 6-over par through three holes on the third day and eventually missing out to Guido Migliozzi, incredible 62 on the last day. How do you reflect on the tournament now?

RASMUS HØJGAARD: After sleeping on it a few nights, I actually think it was a pretty good week. It was nice to play two very, very good rounds to start the week but there's obviously a bit of pressure going into the week and I managed to have a little dodgy start there. I'm very proud of the way I fought back and gave almost myself a chance in the end, so it was a very good week.
