THE PRESIDENTS CUP

September 25, 2022

Corey Conners

Charlotte, North Carolina

Quail Hollow Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Corey, I'm sure that wasn't the result you were looking for. What are your takeaways here from the whole week?

COREY CONNERS: Definitely learned a lot. Feel like, you know, did a lot of good things this week. It's a pretty awesome atmosphere to play in. Disappointed to not get any points on the board. Didn't seem to get any breaks. Missed a lot of putts that would have gained some momentum.

But it was a good battle. I feel like every match I got down, every match I fought back. Ultimately came up a little short, but good stuff.

Q. We saw how hard you were working on putting between matches, last night. Did that start to bleed into the rest of your game?

COREY CONNERS: No. I certainly played with a lot of freedom tee-to-green today. So I was just trying to give myself as many good looks as possible. Had some close calls on the greens today, but didn't go my way.

Q. What are your emotions right now? Where are they?

COREY CONNERS: Certainly disappointed. We had some really good momentum yesterday as a team. All the guys were ready to go today. Some of the guys got some points early to sort of keep us in it. Really disappointed not to be able to add to our total. But it was a fun week.

Q. Adam had a real tough first Presidents Cup, and he started using it as fire to get back there. How important will it be two years from now in Montreal?

COREY CONNERS: For sure. As pro-American as these fans were, I feel like the fans in Montreal will be really behind the international players. Definitely the goal to get back and hopefully improve my record there.
