THE MODERATOR: Matteo, easy result in terms of score. Did it feel like that, easy on court as well?

MATTEO BERRETTINI: No, not at all. I know that I played a great match, but I knew I had to play this kind of level to beat him.

I started way better than the other day, more aggressive, feeling the ball way better.

Yeah, if you look at the score you can think, like, it was easy, but there were a couple games that I was serving, and it was 15-30. I think I played good there.

Yeah, I was returning a lot, being really aggressive. That was the key.

THE MODERATOR: Better performance today, is it because you're getting more used to the court or is just a matter of you playing better today?

MATTEO BERRETTINI: I mean, there are so many reasons. Obviously we all come from the States, from a really long season, swing I would say. The conditions obviously were different compared to this one is indoor, the courts and balls are different.

I knew the first match, it wouldn't be the best one. But doesn't matter. What matters, especially in Davis Cup, is to bring the result. Today I did it again.

If I played better, then it's a plus. But it counts the same.
