Hannah Green

Portland, Oregon, USA

Columbia Edgewater Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. All right, Hannah Green, 2-under, 70 today. We were just chatting. It was not like this an hour ago. When did the weather kind of change and how did that affect your play? Did it affect your play?

HANNAH GREEN: Actually was quite late in the round, so only happened when we got to seven tee box, which was not too bad.

But it was a par-5, and straight into the wind, so surprised as soon as we got up to the tee box with how windy it did get. Hoping this blows away whatever is coming in away quickly.

But, yeah, managed to get in before anything. Did make it tough. A little bit of indecision on the shots coming in. Unfortunately made a bogey on the last, but I don't think it was because of the wind.

Q. That's unfortunate. Not how you want to end the round overall. Two solid days. You always talk about how comfortable you are here. How confident are you feeling going into the weekend just a few strokes off the lead?

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, I briefly saw the leaderboard on eight green, so I guess two back. Couple of rookies that are up there, so it's tough to win a golf tournament, and I'm sure the course is just going to get harder come the weekend.

Hopefully just keep posting low numbers and try and get into the last group on Sunday.

Q. I know you're counting down to the flight home to Australia. How does that help you relax knowing that, yes, you love being here, but it's the next step to being home, getting a break?

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, it definitely makes my mindset change, and I'm not sure if that happens at every event before going home. I feel like because this is a special place to me it kind of helps with that.

I said to my caddie, four more sleeps until I'm in my own bed, which is the first time I've said that all week.

I guess I did say it earlier; it was seven days until I'm. I am pretty excited about that, so just, yeah, makes me like I guess when I'm not having great moments on the golf course, just I can I reflect on that and think about that and it puts me over the spot.

Yeah, I'm very excited to go home.

Q. I saw and you Nelly and Marina signing a bunch of autographs for little kids after the round. Last we are here we were here in the middle of everything that was going on. How great is it to be back now, especially at Columbia Edgewater with the fans?

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, it's great to have them back. It was a real bummer the two events that I was defending. It was through COVID so we had no spectators. We had a really good following today, and I'm sure it will only get better this weekend.

Q. Have you had any conversations with the super since this started?

HANNAH GREEN: No, unfortunately not. Hopefully he can give me some more tips. But I'm sure he's happy with how the course is presented, because I think we all are.

Q. What did you get at Proud Mary the other day?

HANNAH GREEN: I actually went there this morning. I got eggs on toast and some avocado and potato hash. I think one of the guys, he actually realized that a lot of golfers are going, so hopefully they can shout out and maybe get us some free coffee.
