Q. Here with Carlota Ciganda after her second round of the AmazingCre Portland Classic. I want to know if you were looking at the leaderboard today as you were finishing up the round. With that last birdie you put yourself above everybody else. Did you think about that at all or were keeping track of the leaderboard?

CARLOTA CIGANDA: I did look on 18, but to be honest, I didn't really look much when I was playing. On the last hole I was like, let's make this putt and be you there in the clubhouse at least in the morning.

Yeah, I mean, pretty solid round. Hit it really good. Make some really good putts today.

Yeah, it's a place that I really enjoy playing. I like the course. I like the pine trees. It's set up very nice and peaceful and I love this place.

Q. Uh-huh. What is about it that you like? Besides the pine trees.

CARLOTA CIGANDA: I like the doglegs. Reminds me of my home course in Spain. The grass a very similar. Yeah, doglegs left to right, right to left. I think it's a fun course to play and you can go low.

Yeah, I'm excited for the next two days.

Q. How does it help your confidence in your game going into the weekend being near the top, at the top?

CARLOTA CIGANDA: Yeah, I mean, I've been playing good lately, so it's nice to be at the top again. I would love to win a tournament before the end of the year, so that's my goal.

I'm going to try to do that. Keep playing my best, keep playing the strategy that we have with my caddie, and, yeah, just keep making birdies.

Q. What is that strategy? What are some the finer points of that strategy?

CARLOTA CIGANDA: I can't tell you all the secrets.

Q. Okay, maybe just one secret. What have you been working on specifically?

CARLOTA CIGANDA: I think obviously hit as many greens as possible. I think that gives you lots of birdie chances.

Par-5s I haven't played great the last two days, but you have some birdies there for sure.

And then, I mean, I'm putting great, so I think if you can keep the speed going, I think, yeah, can go low during the weekend.

Q. Are you favoring the fast greens here?

CARLOTA CIGANDA: Yeah, I do like the fast greens, yeah.
