THE MODERATOR: Congratulations. If you could take us through the match today and how it feels to have completed the career Grand Slam as a team.

BARBORA KREJCIKOVA: Well, I think that the match was very difficult. I felt like we were just down for a very long time. But I felt we were still, like, in the game and we tried to fight for every single ball.

Suddenly the game just started to go on our side. I mean, we felt really, really good with that.

I felt as we took the second set, I think from there on we started to be a better team. I'm really, really happy that we won this final slam for us that we were missing.

I mean, it sounds amazing that we achieved such amazing things.

THE MODERATOR: Your thoughts?

KATERINA SINIAKOVA: I think Barbora said pretty everything. But I'm really happy that it went this way because in the beginning it wasn't so good. We just keep fighting. The second set, as Barbora said, it really helped us. We were much better and better.

I'm so excited that we have the title.

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. It's been a long time for you to get to the US Open final, then win the title. Was there anything different you felt at this tournament in comparison to other US Opens?

KATERINA SINIAKOVA: I don't really think so. I mean, every time you come to tournament, you just want to try to show our best. We didn't play so many tournaments this year. It's so exciting that we did so well on Grand Slams.

I would just say that we trying to improve each other, and it's working. We showing it on the court then. I would say that from the beginning we just working hard. So this tournament was really good. We were playing great. So we just took it step by step.

In the end we have the title (smiling).

Q. There haven't been a lot of teams to win the career Grand Slam in history. What does it mean to both of you to be counted among the great players who have done that?

BARBORA KREJCIKOVA: Well, I think it's a really special feeling that we are part of the history right now. But, I mean, then also the other hand, it's such amazing achievement, but then the career is still going on and we still want to add some more. We still want to keep improving and keep getting better.

I hope this is not the end. I hope we going to add many, many more next to our names. But, I mean, right now in this situation, in the moment that we are here, it's just amazing, amazing achievement, amazing feeling to be part of the history.
