DANA OPEN PRESENTED BY MARATHON

September 4, 2022

Ruoning Yin

Sylvania, Ohio, USA

Highland Meadows Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. All right, Ruoning, just take me through what the mindset is going into this final day.

RUONING YIN: I mean, I tried to be aggressive, but just -- I just hit on the green, just can't make the putt.

I think the front nine only birdie I chipped in again, so I just talked to my caddie, said, should I miss green on purpose? (Laughter.)

He just keep talking to me like, just be patient and putts will fall. Yeah.

Q. What was it like for you the last couple of holes when maybe the putts weren't falling but still being able to be in contention?

RUONING YIN: I think I just think too much on last three holes. I just tried to make birdie there, but didn't go well.

Q. What do you take away from a week like this?

RUONING YIN: I mean, I think I still learn a lot, whether my approach shot or driver. I think I figure out something with my driver.

Q. Career-best finish on the LPGA Tour. When you got over here to me you kind of breathed a sigh of relief. What was this experience like for you this week to see your name towards the to be of the leaderboard all four days?

RUONING YIN: Oh, it feels good. It feels really good. I think just the first of many. Yeah, I think I just take this feeling to next week.

Q. Is it satisfying all the work that you put in post the little wrist injury and what you've been doing and seeing to come into fruition on the golf course?

RUONING YIN: I'm sorry?

Q. Seeing what you've been working on postinjury, seeing kind of the fruits of your labor out on the golf course.

RUONING YIN: I mean, my wrist still feels not good after every round, but I just try to ignore it.

Q. Okay.

RUONING YIN: Just try to play my best here and, yeah, that's it.

Q. How much confidence does this give you going into next week?

RUONING YIN: Like a lot. Because like I said, I figured out something. I think I still need to work on my approach shot, but I think everything will be good next week.
